Spring Wardrobe Cleanout

Spring has finally sprung! Time to clear out your space by getting rid of the old and making room for the new. Here are some tips to keep in mind as you figure out what is still hot and what is not:

1: Figure out what your current style trends are: Typically we don’t wear the same clothes from 2 or 3 years ago. Our styles evolve and so should what is in our closet. Take out clothes that haven’t been worn in the last year to year and a half.

2: Old clothes can make you money: You may opt to sell your old clothes or donate them. The benefit of those would be getting some money back using sites such as Etsy, eBay, Polyvore, or Poshmark. Donating clothes can give you a tax write off which could put extra cash on your pocket come tax time.

3. Swap the old with some new:Consider swapping clothes with a trendy friend. Friends with similar styles can be great especially if you want to get new pieces for little to no cost to you.

4. When getting new pieces consider low budget alternatives. Instead of buying new, consider budget friendly options such as local boutiques, thrift stores and consignment shops to get your favourite looks for less.
